HOAs take "warm" loans to prepare for winter
On the week of July 11-18, nine homeowners associations have joined the government “warm” loans program by attracting UAH 3 million of EE loans.

On the week of July 11-18, nine homeowners associations have joined the government “warm” loans program by attracting UAH 3 million of EE loans. This was noted by the Chairman of the State Agency for Energy Efficiency and Energy Saving of Ukraine Serhiy Savchuk.
He stated that in June 2016, 25 homeowners associations attracted UAH 4 million of EE loans for thermal modernization of their buildings. During three weeks of July (July 11-18), 23 homeowners associations attracted UAH 4.5 million for EE measures in their buildings.
Some homeowners associations take EE loans in the second time.
These are:
- Lviv Homeowners Association “Beregynia” attracted UAH 1.35 million UAH for deep retrofit of the 6-storey HOA building. From the first EE loan of UAH 143 000, heat and electricity meters and new windows were installed and lighting system modernized in the HOA building. 43.6% (including subsidy holders) of the loan was reimbursed by the state and another 30% was reimbursed by local power; this made UAH 105 300. HOA “Beregynia” paid the remaining UAH 37 700. The loan was paid back during one year and HOA “Beregynia” decided to take another EE loan for deep retrofit of the building.
- Lviv Homeowners Association “Striyska 91” attracted UAH 1.05 million for thermal modernization of the building.
Since the start of the government “warm” loans program, 287 HOAs attracted UAH 28.2 million for EE improvements in their buildings.
